La parte più noiosa dell'installazione di Joomla, è caricare sul server web tutte le migliaia di file che compongono il CMS... Se si vuole fare qualche installazione di test, veramente c'è da impazzire.
Ecco allora Joomla Installer, un semplice ma efficace script in PHP, che evita proprio questo passaggio, scaricando e decomprimendo il pacchetto di Joomla, direttamente sul server web, risparmiando un bel po' di tempo.
Come utilizzare Joomla Installer:
  • scaricare e decomprimere il file ZIP qui sotto
  • caricare i file contenuti nella root del sito
  • aprire sul browser la pagina "jinstaller.php" (esempio: http://www.thepisu.tk/jinstaller.php )
  • scegliere il pack di Joomla da installare (per cambiare l'elenco modificare jinstaller.php...), click Continua
  • attendere il download... quindi click ancora Continua per l'estrazione
  • attendere l'estrazione... finito!
A questo punto è possibile cancellare jinstaller, e procedere con la normale installazione di Joomla!

Hai dimenticato ".php". Devi puntare a "jinstaller.php".

The default package for installation is the Italian version of Joomla

When you make a choice of your own version and use the link from joomla,

joomlacode.org/.../...

it proceeds but follows up with an error ie

Please revert as this could be a very useful extension !

I'm afraid, but joomlacode's download seems to disallow server-to-server transfer. I would like to add an official package choice, but I was not able to correctly download it. If you found an usable source, please notify me...

However, I must say that the Joomla.it package of Joomla 1.5, it's only the official package with Italian language pack by default, but includes also the English language...

I have for the Moment just a verry sloooow Internet Access. And your Software ist on of the best and fastest way to make a new Installation. It's absolutly no probleme to add after the Installation the german, or another, language file. Molto Grazie dal Svizzera.

puoi dirmi come si trova l'url del download, non della pagina?
cosi da fare un'altro test.

Questo il link diretto allo ZIP di Joomla 1.5.17, dal sito Joomla.it:

joomla.it/.../download.html

Se non funziona nemmeno con questo, probabilmente il tuo server non consente download di file da altri siti.
